MDM offers the SEI-authorized three-day Introduction to CMMI® class using qualified instructors. This class is designed to provide people with the basic knowledge of the CMMI® required to function as SCAMPISM appraisal team members. The class can also be used to familiarize other organization members with the CMMI®. Shorter classes are available for senior and middle management and key technical people who might not serve on an appraisal team but desire a high-level understanding of the CMMI® and the role it plays in organization process improvement. MDM is also certified to offer the one-day Services Supplement for CMMI®.
MDM uses SEI-authorized CMMI® SCAMPI Lead AppraisersSM to train and lead appraisal teams. Team training is typically a one-week class combining both model and appraisal process training. For persons who have received prior appropriate model training the appraisal training typically runs for two to three days. Where appropriate, this training can be combined with some of the appraisal pre-onsite activities.
This one-day workshop provides an organization with practical understanding and information to assist them in jump-starting a process improvement program.
This half-day tutorial, which has been presented at the SEI Software Engineering Process Group Conference, the Air Force Software Technology Conference and the Digital Avionics Systems Conference, provides an overview of critical issues an organization must deal with in establishing and maintaining a viable process improvement program.
This one-day workshop provides Process Action Teams with the knowledge, skills and resources required to successfully develop and implement new or revised processes. The 9-step process is documented in ETVX format, which is also used by the team to document the model of the process they are working on. Each step in the process has entry and exit criteria, roles, measures, standards and tools, and assorted templates and guidelines.
This five-day workshop provides an organization with practical understanding and information to assist them in starting a process improvement program. It includes introductory CMMI® training, in-depth instruction in the Level 2 Practices, a numerical scoring of organization practices relative to CMMI® Level 2, and training in action planning to address identified organization weaknesses. Products include Level 2 Practice and Goal numerical ratings, draft process improvement action plans and a management briefing reporting analysis results and recommendations.
New products and services from the SEI include the new certification for SCAMPISM Lead Appraisers and the CMMI constellation for services (CMMI-SVC) which was released in March 2009.
